The latest information from the Tallahassee International Airport shows that passenger traffic increased in July by 8.6% when compared to traffic one year ago. The number of passengers was up from 65,951 during last July to 71,608 this year.
The Passenger Traffic Report shows passenger counts increased for the two major carriers. American was up 27.7% and the Delta Group was up 0.8%. Silver Airways was down 49.0%.
The graph below shows the annualized number of passengers for the last 24-months. The annual rate of passengers at TIA in July was 838,306. This is 7.83% above the annualized rate reported during this month last year. The annualized number of passengers is calculated by summing the previous 12 months of traffic.
The annualized passenger traffic before the Great Recession was approximately 947,000 in 2007.
“The annualized passenger traffic before the Great Recession was approximately 947,000 in 2007”
I my opinion this is false information. One of the largest reasons for the decline in enplanements was Jeb Bush’s change that did not allow state employees to travel (fly) out of state. This was a huge reduction in travel at the airport. What is an annualized rate. How much of it was International traffic (ha ha). How a bout a new audit of these numbers please.
