The latest information from the Tallahassee International Airport shows that March 2022 passenger traffic was 70,710. This is 3.2% or 2,345 passengers below the pre-COVID passenger traffic (73,055) reported in March 2019.
March traffic increased 70.4% when compared to traffic one year ago. The number of passengers was up from the 41,506 reported during March 2021.
The 70.4% increase this month is relative to March 2021 traffic when air travel was still feeling the impact of the COVID pandemic. Looking at March 2019 traffic gives a more realistic view of passenger traffic growth. For this reason, we have included traffic from 2019 in the Passenger Traffic Report below.
Relative to 2019, the Passenger Traffic Report shows passenger counts were up 1.26% for American Airlines, the Delta Group was down 2.6% and Silver Airways was down 46.2%.
The graph below shows the annualized number of passengers for the last 37-months. The highlighted numbers on the graph indicate the annual traffic during the month of March over the last four years.
The annual rate of passengers at TIA in March 2022 was 746,040 up 4.1% when compared to the annual rate reported last month. The annualized number of passengers is calculated by summing the previous 12 months of traffic.

Things I learned during my 35 years working at airports.
If you want to make a million dollars in aviation, start with two million and know when to quit.
Got time to spare? Go by air.
