The latest reports show that Leon County lost 1,225 jobs in November. There were 157,344 people working in Leon County in November compared to last month’s revised employment number of 158,569.
The November unemployment rate came in at 2.7%, unchanged from October. One year ago, the November 2021 unemployment rate was 3.0%. In November, 2019 the unemployment rate was 2.8%.
Due to the impact of the COVID pandemic, the Leon County Jobs Report, provided below, includes comparison data back to 2019.
The number of people working in November 2022 was 6,795 more than in November 2019 and was 5,536 more than in November 2021.
The November 2022 labor force – those looking for jobs – came in at 161,727 which was 6,847 greater than the number reported in November 2019.
