The Tallahassee City Commission is now accepting applications from those interested in serving on the Citizens Police Review Board (CPRB). To apply, visit Talgov.com/transparency/boards and complete the online form.
Applications must be received by April 15. To be considered for the at-large seats, a letter of nomination from a community-based civic and/or social service organization must be included.
The purpose of the board is to foster transparency, enhance communication and ensure a relationship of trust and respect between TPD and the community.
Last year the CPRB was embroiled in a controversy related to the actions of Board member Taylor Biro. After Biro was removed, other Board members resigned. A Federal lawsuit by Biro was recently dismissed.
For questions regarding the application process, call the City Treasurer-Clerk’s Office at 850-891-8130. Learn more about this and other citizen advisory board opportunities available with the City at Talgov.com.
Will we get guns?
Per the application question comment, there is one:
“Describe any personal attitudes, life experiences, and prior examples that demonstrate you can make objective, impartial, evidence – based decisions about complaints against the police.”
The response was as soft for law enforcement as pillow on a cloud surrounded by marshmallows and angel farts ?
I nominate Mickey Mouse…
The CPRB is a sham created to appease a nonexistent problem and a systemic lie.
Shut it down
Has the board actually done anything? Have they fostered any transparency communication or trust?
Be sure to have a Question on the Application asking for their View on Law Enforcement and make sure they Sign the Application and have that Fine Print below the Signature area that states about Being let go if you Lie on the Application. And be sure to read and understand what they wrote.
I nominate T. C. Hooker for the board.
I’m neither a civic nor social service based organization but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night…

So. Only activists invited? What?
How about a taxpaying registered voter without, I don’t know, an agenda?
Have they not learned their lesson? Get soneone from the RB Holmes or Akbar camp. That should work.
