A Rickards High School student was arrested yesterday morning after bringing a firearm to the school grounds. The Rickards Security Staff searched the student after he came through the main office smelling like marijuana and found the weapon. This is at least the fifth incident a gun was found on Leon County school grounds in 2023.

After news broke of a former Griffin Middle School organizing and staging fights, Leon County Schools came out and called the activity “unacceptable.” The fights are believed to have taken place between March 22 and 23. Detectives indicate in the probable cause affidavit that they identified Footman sitting on her desk in the videos, failing to intervene during the fights.
At the April 10th Leon County Schools (LCS) Agenda Review/Workshop meeting, board members discussed several policies including expulsion waivers. Get the details.

A Florida bill that would make local school board races partisan is heading to the Senate floor. Florida State Sen. Joe Gruters said, “This will make these races much more accountable to the voters.” Currently, local school board elections are nonpartisan and candidates cannot indicate to which party they belong. However, candidates are permitted to subtly hint at which party they learn towards or are members of.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis railed against the possible introduction of the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) to the United States. “The Biden administration’s efforts to inject a Centralized Bank Digital Currency is about surveillance and control,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. The Federal Reserve said on Twitter yesterday that they would make no decision on a central bank digital currency without support from Congress.

@Deepsix – What a thoughtful response backed by data. You’ve clearly given me a lot to think about. By the way, what percentage of people that you think don’t pay income tax vote? I’d love to hear your analysis!
@Edward Lyle – Twitter is for lamestream media! I get all of my news from TruthSocial! Well, that and I am a high ranking member of QAnon. (don’t tell!)
DeepStatePropagandist is losing his/her/its grip on reality… truth will do that to a Marxicrat. Go over to Twidiot, skippy… you’ll find some like-minded drones there.
@DSP
Yo, genius…almost everything you wrote is wrong. I’ll leave it at that.
@Pat A –
“Mitt Romney was correct when he said, “there are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what” because they are “dependent upon government … believe that they are victims … believe the government has a responsibility to care for them … these are people who pay no income tax”
Mitt Romney, and you, apparently, cannot perform arithmetic, or be bothered with simple analysis. The reality is, many of the people who do not pay income tax, also don’t vote. If they did, you’d likely never see another Republican President or Senator again. Less than 70% of the electorate bothered to vote in 2020. If the Senator’s assertion was correct, that would leave, at most, 23% of the vote for Republican’s. Do you see anything at odds with that feat of subtraction, observable reality and the assertion that 47% of voters pay no income tax all vote Democrat?
Even worse, however, is that a great number of people *who pay no income tax* also *vote Republican!* It’s true! You know who pays no income tax? Old Americans who have retired and are on social security as their source of income. Military members who serve in combat zones. Both of these groups are highly skewed to voting Republican. Who else? Elon Musk. Jeff Bezos. Wanna hear something funny? Donald J Trump paid no income tax during the final year of his Presidency! What a time to be alive!
What’s more, all you have to do is google: “voting trends by income” and you can see that Trump got over 40% of the vote for people earning less than 50K.
Ref: the censorship of yesterday’s comment. Steve needs to make his policy clear.
I had the last post in response to a liberal post.

Good to know.
And there you have it the reason we have so many incidents because of a non-reactive non-proactive State Attorney.
O/T – “Lawmaker Likens Trans People to ‘Mutants’”
“All” of the comments were removed under this article yesterday. Does anyone know why?
Hey Tallahassee Reports –
It’s a real shame you participated in CENSORSHIP on the post about the Republican representative calling transgender people ‘mutants’. What a sad commentary that even here, you’ve chosen to stifle the first amendment rights of true American PATRIOTS who were showing the advanced thought leadership of the conservative movement.
Students bringing a firearm on campus is a Federal Felony Offense that will never be charged more-less prosecuted. Our local State Attorney Office does not refer Federal Firearm Violations, committed by a minor, to the FBI because Biden’s DOJ does not prosecute minors.
