FLORIDA NEWS
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a partnership between the State of Florida and other states with the intention of fighting the crisis at the southern border. DeSantis was joined by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Mark Glass, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, and Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey to round out the Florida delegation. Officials from Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Idaho, and Georgia were also present. “The federal government could solve these problems if it had the will to do it,” the governor said. “Maybe it will get the will at some point in the future. But in the meantime, we need to come and work hard, together.”
Also while along the southern border, DeSantis defended flying illegal aliens to California. “I think the border should be closed. I don’t think we should have any of this,” DeSantis said. “But if there’s a policy to have an open border, then I think the sanctuary jurisdictions should be the ones that have to bear that.”

Big Flower, You have no idea whether or not I am receiving a Social Security check just as I have no idea whether or not you are paying into Social Security.
Your analogy is quite flawed. We live in a sovereign nation. Social Security is a benefit the government pays to its citizens, most of whom paid into the system. If the government gives benefits to citizens and non-citizens alike, citizenship becomes worthless. It’s even worse than that, given the citizens have paid into the system.
If my neighbor can force me to take in his guests, my home ownership becomes worthless. Again worse than that, given I paid for my home.
@ Maven: it would be wonderful if that lawsuit drives the final stake thru the Fake Newsocrats corrupted heart.
@Little Flower Hmm. Well in that case.. I can’t afford to keep paying for your social security check each month out of MY hard earned check. I shouldn’t have to accommodate for you. You must pay the cost :/
Hey Steve & Barney:
Any updates to the Tallahassee Classical’s lawsuit against the Fake Newsocrat?
The readers want to know!
THANK YOU Governor DeSantis. Keep sending them to California, Delaware and New York.
The sanctuary jurisdictions should have to make all the accommodations for these people that they invited and pay for it out of their own budgets. The rest of us didn’t vote for it and can’t afford it. If my neighbor invites many guests over to his house, he must put them up and pay the costs.
