The Tallahassee Police Department has confirmed that the suspect in a double homicide that took place just before 6 p.m. at Mission Hills Apartments off of Mission Road is deceased. TPD said “preliminary findings“ helped detectives identify a suspect and officers in another county located the suspect’s vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect died before an arrest was made.
The Leon County Children Services Council held a regular meeting on July 20th and voted to roll back the millage rate to 0.3477 which is expected to raise $7.5 million in tax revenue in FY 2024.
One person was injured in a Tallahassee house fire yesterday morning. A single-story residence caught fire on the 1800 block of Westridge Dr. The injured person was taken to the hospital with burns and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is looking into the State of Florida’s investments into Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch. The Bud Light controversy came months ago after the beer brand was seen featured in a video with trans activist Dylan Mulvaney. Bud Light sent Mulvaney beer cans with his face on it. “We must prudently manage the funds of Florida’s hardworking law enforcement officers, teachers, firefighters and first responders in a manner that focuses on growing returns, not subsidizing an ideological agenda through woke virtue signaling,” DeSantis wrote.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, on Russell Brand’s podcast called January 6 a “protest,” objecting to calling it an insurrection. “If somebody is honestly doing an insurrection against the U.S. government, then prove that that’s the case and I’ll be happy to accept it, but all you’re showing me is that there were a lot of protesters there and it ended up devolving, you know, in a way that were unfortunate, of course. But to say that they were seditionists is just wrong,” said DeSantis.

FAMU head football coach has suspended all football activity after a rap music video was released that was unauthorized by the program after it featured scenes from the FAMU football locker room. “The video contained graphic language that is not consistent with Florida A&M’s core values, principles and beliefs and an internal investigation is underway to determine who authorized the use of not only the athletic facility at Galimore-Powell, but also licensed apparel that potentially violates university branding and licensing agreements,” Simmons said.
Florida State men’s basketball earned an Academic Excellence Award and five Seminoles – Jaylan Gainey, RJ Morris, Tibor Palinkas, Isaac Spainhour and Max Thorpe – were named to the Academic Honors Court as the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced their academic awards after this past season.

I think DeSantis is considering suing AB InBev for basically sticking it to the shareholders (i.e. pension funds) by caving to the LGBT bullying. I hope he does and I hope he wins. I see the shareholders as the victims not Mulvaney and his bully supporters.
An amazing number of people have (apparently) not watched the videos. Or, maybe, they refuse to believe what they see.
A certain political party that played the race card for so many years has been played so they need a new card to play which is the January 6th… unfortunately for them it turned out to be the Joker.
They need a new deck of cards. Maybe they should try playing the economy, the Border, National Security, and supply chain issues for starters. You know like they should have been doing all along. Bye Done.
It wasn’t an Insurrection and if you use V.P. Harris’s standards that SHE used for the BLM Protests then, this was a very Peaceful Protest.
The portion of the state’s retirement fund investment that is in Anheuser-Busch stock is a challenge. First, AB is a foreign owned company and as such, investing in it need extra scrutiny. Secondly, the stock has already taken a beating. If you believe that AB will survive this, moving the investment now is a bad case of “Buy High, Sell Low”. If you believe that the stock will bounce back, moving MORE money into Anheuser-Busch stock would be a windfall.
