The Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency voted on Tuesday to address governance issues highlighted by several elected officials and voted 9-3 to explore the of Blueprint sales tax funds for affordable housing. Mayor Dailey, City Commissioner Richardson, and Leon County Commissioner Caban voted against the item.
Text messages obtained by Tallahassee Reports show that a discussion between a campaign contributor and Leon County Commissioner David O’Keefe during a September 21, 2023 Blueprint meeting concluded that the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency attorney – Susan Dawson – was “absolutely awful.”
A motion was filed Tuesday by Charlie Adelson’s defense team requesting the judge to interview all jurors involved in the case, according to a Tuesday court filing. It comes one day after Adelson was found guilty of murder, conspiracy and solicitation in the 2014 murder of his former brother-in-law Dan Markel. The motion claims an alternate juror emailed the defense team claiming “one or more members of the jury asked all other jurors for their telephone numbers, after which some sort of group chat was established,” per the court document.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis warned supporters that regarding “what’s happening in Europe, you have more antisemitism in Germany than at any time since Adolf Hitler.” Specifically, he said that the cause is more akin to lax immigration policies.
Polling has already begun for the 2026 Florida governor’s race and at the top of the list is a surprising frontrunner: current First Lady Casey DeSantis. A University of North Florida Public Opinion Research Lab survey of Republican voters in Florida shows Casey DeSantis is the choice of 22 percent of respondents. While 40 percent said they are still undecided.
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer has secured a seventh term leading the city, early results from Tuesday’s election show. With early and mail-in votes counted, Dyer led three challengers with 77.7% of the vote. Dyer has said this will be his last re-election campaign.

Why no discussion on tax cuts? Why are we paying for: Wi-Fi on buses, cash withdrawals using EBT cards, free health insurance that includes cash refund payments to the subscribers, streaming services paid with EBT card, free gender affirming care at Planned Parenthood, others’ student loans, welfare and cellphones for illegal aliens, free cable tv in HUD housing, and other benefits some taxpayers cannot afford for themselves? When are unwed mothers going to be told no additional benefits if you have more children you cannot afford? And how about the Public Defenders Office providing free legal representation in traffic court? If I want to fight a speeding ticket I have to pay for the attorney but the poor don’t.
Enough Already. Stop giving taxpayer dollars to the poor, or at reduce them, who purposely created their plight in life.
I thought the Blueprint sales tax funds were to be used for Infrastructure, not Housing……… am I wrong or have they changed the rules?
