LOCAL NEWS

The longstanding tradition of local elected officials remaining publicly “neutral” in elections that involve colleagues recently fell victim over the battle for control of the city commission. This cycle will be no different.

After more than 3 hours on scene police have detained a man who was barricaded in a home on the southeast end of the capital city, according to TPD.

City Commissioner Jack Porter will not reveal who paid for certain travel expenses for her to attend conferences in 2023 sponsored by Local Progress, a far-left progressive group that encourages locally elected officials to promote certain policy positions.

FLORIDA NEWS

The Florida House late Thursday gave final approval to a bill that would make a series of changes in state energy laws, including preventing offshore wind-energy generation and removing references to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The House has agreed to Senate language on a bill that will bring an end to civilian review boards probing allegations of misconduct in Florida once Gov. Ron DeSantis signs off. The language states that municipalities can’t facilitate “civilian oversight of law enforcement agencies’ investigations of complaints of misconduct by law enforcement or correctional officers.”

The Florida Senate passed legislation on Thursday to bolster protections for first responders by criminalizing actions that impede, threaten, or harass them while they are performing their duties.

Katie did OK, a bit too theatrical, but I think the R’s missed an opportunity by not having Trump give the rebuttal.

“I just counted xx number of lies in Crooked Joe’s SOTU speech…”

    That would have been YUGE.

The Gold Star father should not have been arrested. He did nothing wrong or illegal. Democrats allowed BLM to burn down communities and get away with it but this grieving father gets arrested for calling Biden out on his lies. SMH.

@TallyPatriot-What other place is more appropriate?? If it was Your son, you would probably feel differently. Biden Is a liar and deserves to be called out on his pathetic decisions. The SOTU was the perfect place. He should not have been arrested. He did Nothing illegal.

The man who was escorted out of SOTU was a Gold star father whose son Biden left to die in Afghanistan. He was killed in the Abbey Gate bombing during the retreat from Afghanistan. a bombing that could have been avoided...So yeah- that Dad had a right to stand up and yell. Don't say it was just some heckler. GET it right.

I have read several articles where the man that was escorted out for heckling was arrested. I believe what I heard him yell was "LIAR" and that was all, I heard nothing else.

When it comes to TiKTok, every Member of Government, especially the President, should be banned from using TikTok.
