The table pictured below is a ranking of the eleven Leon County schools that have indoor volleyball teams based on current record, overall rating and strength of schedule as shown in MaxPreps. The stats used in this edition of high school volleyball rankings were updated on MaxPreps up to 10/24/2024.
Chiles
After winning the 5A District 3 Championship the Timberwolves faced off against the Choctawhatchee Indians in Tallahassee for the regional quarterfinals. Chiles beat Choctawhatchee in straight sets with set scores being 25-11, 25-6 and 25-14. Chiles will play Ponte Vedra in the regional semifinals at Chiles on 10/26. The two teams met earlier in the regular season which resulted in a 3-set win for the Timberwolves.
Leon
Leons 2024-2025 season came to an end after losing to Middleburg, who is seeded 2nd in the regional tournament, in straight sets in the 5A regional quarterfinals on 10/23. The 7th seeded Lions didn’t go down without a fight with set scores being 18-25, 16-25, and 19-25. Leon finished the season 13-13 including post season play.
FSUHS
After winning the 3A District Championship, Florida High played Episcopal School of Jacksonville in the quarterfinals of the 3A regional tournament on 10/22. The Seminoles won in straight sets with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 26-24. With this win, FSUHS will advance to the regional semifinals where they will play an away game against Pensacola Catholic on 10/26. FSUHS, who is seated 3rd in the regional tournament, will be playing Pensacola Catholic, who is seated 2nd in the tournament, for the first time this year.
