LOCAL NEWS

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred in the 1400 block of Alabama Street. At approximately 3:27 p.m., a call was received in reference to a possible shooting in the area. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. This remains an open and active investigation. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Tallahassee Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian, Sunday afternoon. TPD reported that the crash happened at the intersection of Capital Circle SE and Apalachee Parkway around 2:27 p.m. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.

The Chiles Timberwolves girls’ volleyball team capped off a historical season with a dominating performance in the FHSAA 5A State Championship final by defeating the Lourdes Academy (Miami) Bobcats. The Timberwolves won the best of five set match 25-15, 25-7, & 25-8 on Saturday, November 9th. The win moved the Timberwolves to 25-1, the best record in school history.
