On Apr. 8, the Florida High flag football team (11-3) played their last regular season game against Bradford (9-2) on senior night in Tallahassee. The Seminoles beat the Tornadoes 13-7, giving Bradford their second loss of the season and ending the regular season with 11 wins.
It was a relatively low scoring game with only three touchdowns scored by both teams. Florida High quarterback Danielle White (Jr.) helped account for both touchdowns for Florida High having one rushing touchdown and one passing touchdown. White threw for 45 yards on 7 completions and 9 attempts as well as having 47 rushing yards. On the other end of White’s touchdown pass was wide receiver Kiersten Cawley (Fr.) who had 5 receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, Jizelle Reilly (Sr.) led the team with 8 total tackles. The Florida High defense had one interception by Annelise Cardenas (8th) that was returned for 10 yards.
The Seminoles will be heading into the post season with momentum as they ended the regular season with four straight wins.
