The Tallahassee Police Department is currently conducting an investigation following a shooting that occurred at approximately 11:41 a.m. near the wooden pavilion area at Jack McLean Park. One victim, a juvenile female, was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm. This remains an open and active investigation and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Full enforcement of School Zone Speed Program begins Thursday, September 11, 2025, when Notice of Violations will carry a $100 penalty.
Charles Ronald Trammell affectionately known to thousands as “Henry” the Radiator Man passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter on September 5, 2025. Born in Cairo, Georgia on May 9, 1930, Ronald was the proprietor of the Tallahassee Radiator Shop, a family business in Tallahassee for almost 100 years.
