On Dec. 15th, the Maclay boys soccer team (7-1-2) played a non-conference away match against Suwannee (6-6-3) in Live Oak, FL. The Marauders could not hang on in the second half, as they lost to the Bulldogs giving them their first loss of the 2025-2026 season. Maclay is one of the top Leon County teams and is currently ranked 41st in the state of Florida and 81st nationally. On their path to a successful season, the Marauders will encounter two notably tough matchups against Buchholz (9-0-1) and Jesuit (5-1). Maclay will face the 10th-ranked team Buchholz, on Dec. 16 in Tallahassee, before taking on Louisiana’s fifth-ranked team, Jesuit, on Jan. 9 in New Orleans.
