Florida motorists paid an average of $2.67 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline Monday, a 14-cent drop from a week earlier, according to the AAA auto club.
“Crude oil prices remain relatively unchanged from the end of 2025 and unaffected amid questions about Venezuela’s impact on the oil market,” AAA said in a news release. “Currently, the global oil supply is strong, as OPEC+, the coalition of oil-exporting countries, says it’s not planning any production hikes in the first quarter of 2026 due to lower demand.”
The national average Monday was $2.80 a gallon, a penny less than a week earlier. In its annual “Fuel Price Outlook” released last week, GasBuddy projected the national average to slowly increase through May before ticking down until the end of the year. The average for all of 2026 is projected to be about $2.97 a gallon. Florida’s average for the year, according to GasBuddy, is expected to be between $2.85 and $3.11 a gallon.
