A resolution on President Obama’s special task force on gun safety was scheduled to be voted on at tonight’s city commission meeting at the request of Mayor John Marks. However, the item has been deleted.
Tallahassee Reports has been told by city staff that the “Mayor has requested the item be removed and brought forward at a later date.”
Listed below is language from the agenda item.
Agenda Item 11.01
Resolution No. 13-R-24 is consistent with the recommendations put forth by the President’s special task force on gun safety, as well as the recommendations of the Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the United States Conference of Mayors, and other organizations advocating for gun safety. It respectfully:- Urges passage of The Fix Gun Checks Act in the United States Congress;
- Urges passage of legislation that would protect our community and especially our schools from military-style weapons and high-capacity magazines;
- Urges passage of legislation that would make gun trafficking a federal crime;
- Calls upon both President Obama and the U.S. Congress to put in place concrete reforms to reduce gun violence nationwide and help prevent future mass shootings.

The citizens of Tallahassee don’t want it.
Yeah, like a bunch of citizens will deter this useless, corrupt, piece of garbage from pushing forth Ovomits agenda. If it takes rights away, is green and associated with Agenda 21, or lines his pockets, Marks is all for it. Honestly, I am very surprised lightning hasn’t struck the man.
This is good news, an effort was made to let the commissioners know we did not approve of this. I am wondering if that contributed to the decision.
Don’t think that was it!!
