The Seminoles came up just short of defeating the no. 1 team in the country, Duke, falling 80-78. FSU was able to get big games out of Phil Cofer (21 points) and Mfiondu Kabengele (24 points, 10 rebounds). PJ Savoy made a couple big plays but MJ Walker was almost nonexistent on offense. Kabengele and Christ Koumadje were able to stay out of foul trouble giving the Seminoles a big advantage in rebounds especially when Zion Williamson went out of the game.

All this proved to be not enough as Cam Reddish played his best game for Duke. He had 23 points including knocking down the game-winning three with .8 seconds remaining. Florida State proved they could hang with the best country while having to deal with their best shooting performance from beyond the arc of the season.

Although FSU lost, hope remain high for this basketball team until they were pounded in Pittsburgh 75-62 Monday night. The Seminoles were 2-22 from three point land and committed 31 fouls in what was easily their worst performance of the season.

The Seminoles are currently 13-4 overall and 1-3 in the ACC. Florida State looks to bounce back Sunday at noon at Boston College. The game will be on ESPNU.

After a 57-45 upset loss to the Clemson Tigers at home the lady ‘Noles fell out of the top 25. They bounced back in a big way by crushing Boston College 91-71 on the road. Kiah Gillespie had 23 points and 8 rebounds and Nicky Ekhomu added 16 points. Florida State is now 15-2 overall and 3-1 in the ACC. The next game is this Sunday at 2 versus Duke in the Tucker Center.

Florida A&M men’s basketball improved their record to 5-13 overall but 2-1 in conference play with a 5 point victory over Savannah State last Saturday. The next game is Saturday in the Lawson Center at 4 versus Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Florida A&M women’s basketball is now 2-13 and 0-3 in the MEAC. The next game is versus Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday as well.
