Home Sales Down 4% in June, Still Up Over Last 12 Months

Sales of existing single-family homes in Leon county were down 4.1% when compared to numbers sold in the same month one year ago. There were 362 single-family home resales in June 2019 and 347 resales in June 2020. Last month there were 229 existing single-family homes sold.

The average sales price in June 2020 decreased 1.2% from $278,806 last year to $275,430.

Annual trends show that single-family home sales came in at an annual rate of 3,138 in June. The June annual rate of sales is 3.9% above the annual rate of 3,021 reported one year ago. The annual rate of sales last month was 3,153.

The average price of homes sold over the last twelve months in Leon county was $271,068. This is 3.2% above the average sales price of $262,786 reported one year ago.
