TR’s Weekly Crime Tracker: October 19th-25th

Information provided by the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) shows there were 66 incidents reported during the week of October 19 – 25, 2020. The data indicates there were 42 property incidents and 24 violent incidents. Last week there were 50 property and 23 violent incidents.

A regional breakdown of the incidents – based on TPD defined quadrants – shows the Northwest quadrant of Tallahassee led the week with 15 property incidents and 12 violent incidents.

A map of the quadrants is shown below.

During the week (this list does not include all incidents), there were:

  • 17 Auto Burglaries,
  • 12 Residential Burglaries,
  • 9 Auto Thefts,
  • 6 Sexual Batteries,
  • 5 Aggravated Assaults,
  • 5 Armed Robberies,
  • 4 Death Investigations,
  • 4 Commercials Burglaries,
  • 2 Auto Thefts,
  • 1 Armed Robbery and
  • 1 Robbery Sudden Snatching.   

TPD Quadrants

TPD reports the location of crime incidents based on “Beat Boundaries” and “Quadrants.” The four quadrants are Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. The “Beats” included in each quadrant is shown below.

  1. As we draw close to election day, I wonder if Tallahassee as the seat of state government will be a target for disruption or violence? Is there anything as citizens we should be alert for next week?

  2. I wonder if the statistics are par for the course for other leftist Biden voter run cities?
    Thats some statistics us readers would be interested in.
    Like for instance we all know Miami is much larger and has bigger numbers but percentage of population with Miami Tampa and other such leftist Biden voter run cities compared with Tallahassee could be interesting.
