After a hectic year for businesses in the year 2020, the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual meeting for 2021 on January 14th at the Donald L. Tucker Center, where attendees will meet the Chamber’s Board of Directors for 2021. The Tallahassee Chamber says that attendees will also listen to the outgoing Chair, Beth Corum, meet the new Chair, Jay Smith, and hear the announcement of the Godfrey Smith Past Chairman’s Award recipient. Regarding COVID-19, attendees have the ability to register in-person or online which gives them the opportunity to feel safer and attend the meeting virtually.

CareerSource Capital Region, a company that focuses on connecting businesses with qualified employees through development of employment solutions, will add a new Manufacturing Sector Strategist, Larry Minnich, to assist with helping employees/clients develop strategies and training that allows them to be skilled in both old and new technologies to sustain success in the workforce. Having 40 years in the manufacturing industry, Minnich brings a wide range of managerial experience and is expected to be a huge addition to the CareerSource Capital Region team.
Following the retirement of Chief Executive Officer, Matt Brown, TC Federal Bank has promoted Greg Eiford to be its new CEO and member of the Board. Although retired as CEO, Brown will remain on the Board of Directors for the bank, and the promotion of Eiford is an attempt to help transition the bank from a mutual to a stocked-based financial institution, according to Board of Directors Chairman, Stephanie B. Tillman.
