The latest jobs report shows that there were 158,965 people working in Leon County in September, which is 4,536 more than last month’s revised employment number.
The September unemployment rate came in at 2.6%, down from the 2.8% reported last month. One year ago, the September 2021 unemployment rate was 3.6%. In September, 2019 the unemployment rate was 3.0%.
Due to the impact of the COVID pandemic, the Leon County Jobs Report, provided below, includes comparison data back to 2019.
The number of people working in September 2022 was 7,409 more than in September 2019 and was 7,075 more than in September 2021.
The September 2022 labor force – those looking for jobs – came in at 163,162 which was 6,847 greater than the number reported in September 2019.
