TPD Releases Information on Two Shootings

2023-00085694 / Shooting Incident / 2674 Capital Circle SE (HCA Florida Southwood Emergency) / 7:07 PM / May 14

Officers responded to HCA Florida Southwood Emergency in reference to a juvenile teenage male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his hip. The juvenile advised the shooting occurred in the 3100 block of Dunkeld Ct. earlier in the day, but did not initially report it. Officers responded to the location to search for a crime scene or evidence of a shooting, and did not locate any evidence to confirm a shooting occurred in the area. At this time, it is unclear where the shooting took place and what circumstances led up to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.

Officers responded to a local hospital in reference to an adult male and female with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The male and female advised they were traveling in their car in a residential neighborhood near Capital Circle NE and Miccosukee Road when someone shot at their car. They drove themselves to a local hospital for treatment. A crime scene has not been located at this time and it is unclear what circumstances led up to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
