  1. Re: Dawg Haus: what will prevent the way above normal dog poop from going into any nearby water ways? This area drains into Lake Lafayette, recent receiver of the “Million gallon sewage spill event”. Typically, stormwater ponds would be used, however, they DO overflow during certain rain fall events. No testing is done at their or other stormwater ponds’ outfalls.

  2. Frank, it will be a privately owned, for profit business. Think craft beer garden with dogs running around humping legs and sniffing back sides.

  3. Every park that gets built requires maintenance and TPRD is overloaded now. Cascades Park alone requires $1M per in maintenance costs.

  4. It would be nice if the article had identified the picture. It kinda looks like it’s project #2, but there’s no direct link or guarantees.

The 4-story project on .42 acres is a concern to me. According to the property appraiser’s site, the lot is 75′ wide by 210 long. Setbacks are going to be an issue, as well as getting ANY light to the adjacent property due to the proposed structures height of over 40′. It looks like there’s been some shenanigans with the official property value estimate at the appraiser’s office, too.

    This stinks.
