A Korean steakhouse is having a grand opening today in Tallahassee. The Chow Won Korean Steakhouse has moved into 1107 Apalachee Parkway and officially opens its doors at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The restaurant – located on a 10,000 square foot building – is centered around the Korean way of grilling meats on the table. In the all-you-can-eat fashion of the restaurant; three types of meat can be selected per round, per table, with unlimited servings during a two-hour dining period.
Guests have over 20 options to choose from, like spicy pork bulgogi, lemon chicken, sirloin steak and Cajun mussels. The restaurant is open for lunch at $24.99 per person and $29.99 for dinner.
The restaurant also features bar seating (see below) with an expansive drink selection that includes a variety of Korean soju, premium sakes and imported beer, along with non-alcoholic options.
“We want to bring the backyard family barbecue fun to an upscale dining environment,” according to the Chow One website. “Chow One will surely satisfy any taste bud with the all-you-can-eat style and wide variety of options.”
According to their website, there are two Chow Won restaurants operating, with plans to open four more locations in Fort Lauderdale, Pensacola, Plantation, Florida and Alpharetta, Georgia.
What lending company was foolish enough to green light this? $25 for lunch might work if you’re a lobbyist…or a Commissar or COT fat-cat employee.
I give it a year, max.
So solly.
Too pricey to last long in Tallahassee. Remember Rodizio’s?
