The US Supreme Court voted unanimously yesterday to reinstate the National Rifle Association’s free speech case against a New York state regulator who allegedly used her authority to suppress the group’s gun-promotion advocacy. The 2018 case was dismissed by a lower court in 2022 and will now resume proceedings.

@ DSP = The Trial was a Shame, the Judge proved that when he refused to let one of the Witnesses for Trump speak and when the Judge kept Over Ruling the other Defense Witness. If Trump took the Stand who knows what the Judge would have done, and then look at the Judges Instructions, NOT telling anyone what the one Charge was until the Case was given to the Jury and even then, gave them 3 Options to choose and telling them that they all didn’t have to agree on the same one meaning, 3 could agree on one, 5 could agree on a different one and 4 could agree on the third one and still have a Guilty Verdict. I knew that Judge was going to pull something but, I was thinking more along the lines of only needing 10 of the 12 finding him Guilty instead of all 12.
What I don’t understand is, why didn’t Trump just take the stand and defend himself? Why not have someone from the Trump organization take the stand and explain why Cohen was paid 130K after he took out a HELOC and transferred that same amount of money to Stormy? I mean, the truth is the truth, so why not go up there, tell the truth, and destroy the prosecution when they try to cross examine you? It makes no sense that Trump didn’t take the stand. I know that if I was accused of something I didn’t do, you can be sure I would take the stand to defend myself!
I mean, it’s completely normal; I have personally taken out three HELOCs for my boss in the past year to pay people off, so I just I guess I don’t see what the big deal is?
I mean, he didn’t take the stand when he was impeached. Or impeached the second time. Or for Mueller. Or during his defamation trial. But this time, this time, I was sure he’d take the stand! Well, at least he won the popular vote (100% of the vote this time!), and he’s got a trial in Georgia and DC he will have a chance to take the stand for, so that’ll be great opportunities for him to show how very innocent he is.
