On June 4 at 10:18 p.m., TPD officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3100 block of Diane Road regarding a stabbing incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult woman inside the residence suffering from serious stab wounds. Officers immediately rendered life-saving aid and the woman was transported to a local hospital where she remains hospitalized as a result of her injuries.

A person of interest was identified and is believed to be known to the victim. This investigation remains open and active and no arrests have been made at this time.

Following an investigation, TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit detectives quickly identified 28-year-old Terry Williams as the suspect in this case. Through witness statements and the collection of physical evidence, probable cause was developed to charge Williams with attempted homicide.

Williams was located by officers during the evening of June 5 and taken into custody. He was subsequently transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.

According to court records, Williams is accused of stabbing the victim and leaving her with approximately 30-40 stab wounds. In addition, court records indicated the victim will likely have severe, lifelong injuries should she survive any future surgeries.
