On June 10, 2024, the Children’s Service Council of Leon County (CSC) held a finance and budget meeting to review the millage rate for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year.

Six people are under arrest and charged with involvement in a drug trafficking operation in Florida’s Big Bend. Law enforcement agencies say they seized large amounts of fentanyl, marijuana, other illegal narcotics, a stolen firearm, and amounts of cash consistent with illicit drug trafficking.

Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday signed a $116.5 billion budget for the upcoming fiscal year, after vetoing close to $950 million in spending approved by lawmakers in March.

  1. All this pearl clutching about local politicians opposing each other.. John Paul Bailey and Steve Meisberg hated each other and would face off all the time in elections. Allan Katz, Debbie Lightsey, Gil Ziffer, John Dailey and Dianne Williams-Cox have all supported an opponent to their colleague sitting next to them. Bringing it out into the open in stead of dark money 501c4s and is a good thing by Matlow. Let’s really see what’s what and we will settle the conflict democratically.
