LOCAL NEWS

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently working a homicide investigation that happened at Griffin Heights Apartments. According to police, officers responded to 1010 Basin St, just after 3:30 a.m., and found two women with gunshot wounds. One woman died on scene and the second woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The Florida Cabinet has approved new rules to administer a cut on the sales tax on commercial leases, or business rent tax, from 4.5% to 2%.

  2. The Firefighters’ Union endorsing Jack Porter is extremely disappointing and troubling. They should know better than to play with fire. (No pun intended)

  3. One of Florida’s Poorest Counties is getting a $300 Million Cargo Hub is GREAT News. Of all the things mentioned in the article as being an issue, what worries me more is, all Air Ports cost a LOT of Money to maintain, we have poured many $Billions of Dollars into our Airport well before the expansions which costs mega $Billions. Where will THAT Money come from? I’m sure being a Cargo Hub will pay enough to keep the Airport Open for Business, it is all the other Add On’s that cost the big money.

  4. I am not racing to raise Campaign Funds, I believe I have all I need ($9,000). I am 100% Totally Self Funded. The Citizens of Leon County come first.
