I can see why Home Permits are down, there are only so many People in Tallahassee that can Afford Home that cost $250,000 and up and I am sure most of them are already living in one. Every NEW Subdivision being built that I drive by have signs in from that state ” New Homes Starting in Mid $300’s” or greater. With the Interest Rates we have now, your Mortgage Payment will be HUGE. Yeah, you could refinance when they come down but, WHEN will that be and do you really want to GIVE them 30% of your Mortgage Payment for FREE? I am enjoying a 2.74%Interest Rate and a Payment UNDER $500 for a 3/1.5 with a Garage, Half Acre Level Lot on a small Lake.
How do these stats compare to the same for Jefferson and Wakulla Counties? Leon County homeowners are selling and relocating to those two lower tax-rate counties, especially Wakulla.
