LOCAL NEWS

Approximately 32 weeks (August 11) into 2024, the number of crime incidents reported by the Tallahassee Police Department continue to trend down when compared to 2023. The latest numbers shown that robbery incidents are down double digits. 

The owners of the Railroad Square Art District want local government to purchase most of their property. In the wake of the May 10th tornadoes that badly damaged the art park, Adam and Lily Kaye will put their proposal before the Tallahassee Community Redevelopment Agency at its next meeting, on August 22nd.

On Tuesday, August 13, the Network of Entrepreneurs and Business Advocates held a political forum featuring candidates running for City Commission Seat 1. However, City Commissioner Jack Porter backed out of the event on Monday citing concerns that the forum would not be fair to her.

  1. If the City/County buys the Rail Road Square Property, it needs to be ALL 8 Acres or nothing and the City/County owns it 100%. Maybe build the new Rail Road Depot there if that is still happening, just DON’T OVER PAY. I’d say, $1.8 Million for all 8 Acres.

    Jack, if you do Questionable stuff, expect to be Questioned on it. They are not tough Questions because you KNOW the Answers to them, Hiding from them tells us more than Answering them.

    I will bet that Kamala Harris’ polling lead drops after September 10th., Sooner if that Sit Down Interview she claims she will have before the End of August actually happens and has actual Hard Ball Questions for her to answer.
