Three local races ended with incumbents receiving more than 70% of the vote.
In the race for Leon County Property Appraiser, the incumbent Akin Akinyemi won with 71.7% of the vote. The challenger, Ken Preston, received 28.3% of the vote.
In the race for Superintendent of Schools, incumbent Rocky Hanna won the Democrat primary with 81.92% of the vote. Star Swain received 18.08% of the vote. Hanna will face Chiles High School principal Joe Burgess in November.
In the race for Leon County School Board District 2, the incumbent Rosanne Wood won with 75.52% of the vote. Daniel Zeruto received 24.48% of the votes cast.
