Laurie Cox Wins “Partisan” Race for School Board

Leon County School Board member Laurie Cox held off challenger Jeremy Rogers to win a non-partisan election that essentially became a battle between a Republican and Democrat.

The early vote gave Rogers a slim 51%-49% lead, but as the election day votes came in, Cox secured 52.32% of the vote in a district that leans Democrat.

There were 15,233 votes cast in the race.

Rogers, a registered Democrat, had the support of the local Democratic party and City Commissioner Jeremy Matlow’s One Tallahassee political committee.

The Rogers campaign tried to paint Cox as an extreme Republican by tying her to Governor Desantis and the Mom’s for Liberty movement.

Rogers is a fraud and would’ve been a disaster on the school board. Lawsuit against the city is bogus…this guys runs from work and complains when his bosses try and hold him accountable.

I second the Rogers would have been a disaster.

Commissioner Jeremy Matlow’s One Tallahassee political committee is probably what did him in.
