The latest job report shows that Leon County lost 845 jobs in July when compared to last month. There were 155,915 people working in Leon County in July compared to June’s revised employment number of 156,760.
The July unemployment rate remained unchanged from last month at 3.9%. One year ago, the July 2023 unemployment rate was 3.4%.
The number of people in the workforce decreased from 163,095 in June to 162,254 in July.
Year Over Year Comparisons
The Leon County Jobs Report, provided below, shows the number of people working in July 2024 was 745 more than in July, 2023. The July labor force – those looking for jobs – came in at 162,254 which was 1,612 more than the number reported one year ago.
