The latest Leon County High School football rankings show Lincoln Trojans on top followed by the Florida High Seminoles.
The table below is a ranking of the 10 Leon County high schools that have football teams based on current record, overall rating and strength of schedule as tabulated by MaxPreps. The stats used in this edition of high school football rankings were updated on MaxPreps through 9/8/2024.
Lincoln
Continuing their undefeated streak this season, Lincoln improves to 3-0 with a 49-0 win over JPII last week. This moves them ahead of Florida High in the Tallahassee football rankings going from second last week to first.
Of the three games Lincoln has played, their opponents have only scored a combined 14 points, while Lincoln’s offense has scored a total of 113 points. Their next game is an away game against Ware County on 9/20.
Florida High
Last week Florida High got their first win of the season against Hawthorne with a final score of 41-27. Although they have had two early season losses, their strength of schedule is helping them achieve second in the Tallahassee rankings. They will have multiple opportunities to showcase their team with upcoming games against South Walton and Chiles.
Lincoln’s next game will be at home against South Broward on 9/13.
Chiles
Chiles is in a similar position as Florida High and comes in ranked third when factoring in their strength of schedule and their record. Last week, Chiles lost a close game to Wakulla with a final score of 17-14 making them 2-2 on the season.
Chiles has notable games coming up that include match ups with Lincoln, Florida High, and Godby. Their next game is an away game against Rickards on 9/13.
