The negotiations related to the Tallahassee firefighter union contract for years 2025-27, which appeared to be moving towards a quick resolution, have hit a snag. City proposes 10.5% raise for starting firefighters, Union wants more concessions.
In a press release, the City of Tallahassee reported that a $20.3 million grant was secured from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support two critical infrastructure projects at Tallahassee International Airport – enhancements to Taxiway Bravo and the terminal’s central utility plant.

After state lawmakers this year required a study on the feasibility of expanding the use of nuclear energy, Florida Public Service Commission staff members Thursday met with experts and electric-industry officials to discuss what is known as “advanced” nuclear technology.
