FLORIDA NEWS

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Tuesday that Florida is investing $122 million in infrastructure projects aimed at bolstering rural communities across the state. The funding, part of two state programs, will support road repairs, resurfacing, and other improvements in more than 30 small counties.

The Republican Party of Florida held a registration advantage of 1.026 million voters over the Florida Democratic Party as of Aug. 31, according to data posted Tuesday on the state Division of Elections website.

The US will recognize the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks today, with a number of memorials being held around the country.
