  1. How is it that Individuals and Businesses are limited in their Donations but a PAC can donate $100,000 or more as one Donation? Make PAC Money illegal.

I wonder how the Dock Workers would feel if Bus Loads of illegals rolled in and took over those Jobs at less Pay?

  2. The dock worker’s strike is exactly what’s wrong with unions. Most union members would not joy the union voluntarily, they’re only there because the job they were hired into is controlled by the union(s).

The were offered a 50% wage increase, but turned it down. We recently witnessed a similar fiasco where the unions manage to put the UPS deliver drivers in a position to earn nearly $170,000/year in salary and benefits. If a delivery boy is worth that kind of money, the guy crawling through my 130 degree attic to fix my A/C deserves at least a half million!

  3. @Jeff, I agree completely. Campaign contributions need to be capped. All these wasted campaign contributions could go a long way in helping rebuild the communities that were destroyed by Helene and other storms. If they really care about their citizens, put that money towards Hurricane repairs and Really make a difference.

  4. Saw yesterday where Pete Rose died. His Brother Dave, was my Minor League roommate in 1967 and 1968. Never met Pete but did meet their Dad who they affectionately called ‘Big Pete’.
