Leon County and the city of Tallahassee are asking the local Children’s Services Council to help fund some nonprofits that currently receive city and county funding. But members of the CSC’s governing board fear that would violate state statute — and the will of the voters.
The latest information from the Tallahassee International Airport shows the October 2024 passenger traffic increased 7.3% when compared to traffic one year ago. The number of passengers was up 5,977 from the 82,031 reported during October 2023 to 88,008 in October 2024.

The CSC needs to end and some of the Nonprofits should merge together and start raising Money from the People instead of the Governments. I would like to see each Nonprofit that receives Tax Dollars be made to turn in a full expense Report that gets posted on line for all to see. NOT a Pie Chart, an actual itemized list of every Dollar and where it goes as well as each Persons Salary. Every 3 Years a Forensic Audit should be done to make sure everything is on the Up & Up.
