The latest employment report shows that the number of jobs in Leon County in October remained basically unchanged when compared to September. There were 159,305 people working in Leon County in October compared to September’s revised employment number of 159,286.
The October unemployment rate came in at 3.7%, up from the 3.5% reported last month. One year ago, the October 2023 unemployment rate was 3.5%.
There were 165,438 people in the workforce in October, down from 165,018 in September.
Year Over Year Comparisons
The Leon County Jobs Report, provided below, shows the number of people working in October 2024 was 288 less than in October 2023. The October labor force – those looking for jobs – came in at 165,438 which was 122 more than the number reported one year ago.
