Florida High, Chiles and Lincoln Girls Wrestling Teams Compete in FHSAA 1A District 1 Tournament

On Feb. 15, three Leon County schools participated in the FHSAA 1A District 1 girls wrestling tournament with a field of 21 total teams. The Leon County schools participating include Florida High, Chiles and Lincoln.

Lincoln finished 4th in the team standings with a total of 114.5 points. Notable performances from Lincoln wrestlers include Sayuri Caceres placing 1st in the 100-weight class, Amelia McKnight placing 2nd in the 130-weight class, Kylie Fukushima placing 3rd in the 190-weight class and Abigail Neel placing first in the 235-weight class.

Chiles finished 7th overall as a team with a total of 83 points. Notable performances from the Chiles team include Jordan Herron placing 2nd in the 125-weight class, Kelsey Marschka placing 1st in the 140-weight class, and Molly Rogers placing 3rd in the 145-weight class.

Florida High finished 9th as a team with a total score of 71 points. Notable performances from Florida High wrestlers include Claire Ajose-Adeogun placing 3rd in the 155-weight class, Petra Croom placing 2nd in the 190-weight class and Kiara Smith placing 2nd in the 235-weight class.
