On Mar. 25, the Community Cristian (CCS) girls tennis team(2-7) hosted a regular season match against Florida High (4-5), making it the second meeting between these teams this year. The Seminoles came out on top in the first matchup with a 4-3 win over the Chargers on Feb. 10. Florida High replicated this result in their most recent matchup by beating CCS 4-3 once again.
Of the 5 single positions, Florida High won three with Sofia brooks (Sr.) winning at the first position with a score of 8-0, Lily Morgan (Fr.) winning at the second position with a score of 8-5 and Madison Platt (Fr.) winning at the third position with a score of 8-4. The Seminoles also won at the first position of doubles with Sofia Brookes and Lily Morgan with a score of 8-2.
Although the Chargers could not clinch the match, they had commanding wins at 3 different positions. The Chargers won two singles positions with Maya Petrandis (8th) winning the fourth position with a score of 8-0 and Abi Petscher (Jr.) winning the fifth position with a score of 8-3. CCS also won at the second doubles position with Katelyn Pye (Sr.) and Maya Petrandis with a score of 8-1.
