The FHSAA recently concluded the 2A District 1 boys lacrosse tournament with three Leon County teams participating including Leon, Chiles and Lincoln.
Chiles matched up against Leon in the first round of the tournament as the Timberwolves were seeded 4th and the Lions were seated 5th. Sense they were the lower seed, Chiles had the home advantage. The Timberwolves beat the Lions convincingly with a final score of 11-3 ending Leon’s season with a record of 4-9. With the win, Chiles advanced to the semi-finals where they lost to top seeded Buchholz 20-0 and finished the season 7-9.
Lincoln played second seeded Niceville on Apr. 9 in the first round of the tournament as the seventh and final seed of the tournament. The Trojans lost to Niceville 23-0 ending their season 4-11.
