On Apr. 22, the FHSAA 1A District 2 and 2A District 2 district tournaments took place in Tallahassee with nine teams competing. Maclay, Community Christian (CCS) and Florida High competed in the 1A district 2 championship while Chiles, Lincoln, Leon, Wakulla, Rickards and Godby competed in the 2A district 2 championship. Florida High and Chiles won in their respected classification with both teams ending the tournament with a 5-0 sweep in the district final.
1A District 2
In the first round of the 1A District 2 tournament, Maclay (3-11) upset CCS (8-7) with a score of 3-2, getting revenge after the regular season loss to the Chargers that ended with a score of 4-1. With this win, the Marauders advanced to the finals where they matched up against top seeded Florida High (10-4) in what would be there second meeting of the season. Not dropping a set, the Seminoles beat Maclay 5-0, claiming their first ever beach volleyball district title in program history.
2A District 2
With Chiles (14-1) and Leon (10-7) being seeded first and second, respectively, and receiving a bye, the two matches that took place in the quarterfinal round included Rickards (1-7) verses Wakulla (4-9) and Lincoln (8-8) versus Godby (1-9). Both matches ended 5-0 with Wakulla advancing to the semi-finals to play Chiles and Lincoln advancing to the semi-finals to play Leon.
Chiles ended up beating Wakulla 5-0 without dropping a set while Leon beat Lincoln 5-0 without dropping a set, setting up a third meeting this season between the Lions and Timberwolves in the district final. Chiles bested Leon 5-0 in the final match claiming the district title for the second year in a row.
