Thursday Shooting: The Tallahassee Police Department is currently conducting a homicide investigation following a shooting that occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Palmetto Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers immediately began rendering aid, but sadly the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene.
Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident, but did not speak with an officer on scene, to please call 850-891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS.
A Tallahassee man was sentenced to a little over seven years in prison for participating in a conspiracy to defraud retirement accounts of elderly Florida school district employees, according to the Northern District of Florida U.S. Attorney’s Office.
