On Tuesday, the Leon County Commission voted 4-3 to approve a 5% across the board pay increase for all Leon County Government and Constitutional Officer employees in the FY 2026 Budget.

Leon County Schools is set to face significant financial setbacks for the upcoming school year. The Superintendent told the board Thursday they are expecting to be down over $12 million for the upcoming school budget.

The Leon County Commission has agreed to pay for a fourth deputy on the sheriff’s Homeless Outreach Street Team. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office will use this position to focus on women and girls experiencing homelessness.
