The Republican Party of Florida’s registration edge over the state Democratic Party increased by about 6,000 voters in June, according to newly posted data on the state Division of Elections website.
The data showed the GOP had 5,509,500 “active” registered voters as of June 30, while the Democratic Party had 4,192,786. That 1,316,714-voter advantage was slightly larger than the GOP’s 1,310,859-voter edge at the end of May.
Meanwhile, as of June 30, 3,438,211 voters were registered without party affiliation, and 430,587 were registered with third parties, the state data showed.
