The Tallahassee Police Department provided the following update on the incident that took place in Casacades Park.

Florida A&M University is canceling on-campus classes on Friday due to recent threats to HBCUs around the country. A university email says classes will be remote on Friday, and staff will also work from home.

The state university system’s Board of Governors on Thursday approved the hiring of Donald Landry as interim president of the University of Florida, with an annual base salary of $2 million — and a potential additional payout if he doesn’t get the president’s job on a permanent basis.
