On Sep. 13th, The Chiles volleyball team (12-0) played a double header against Bishop Kenny (8-4) and Ponte Vedra (6-6) hosted by Bishop Kenny in Jacksonville, FL. Heading into their first game against Bishop Kenny with a record of 10-0, the Timberwolves kept their undefeated season alive winning both games in straight sets advancing to 12-0 on the season.
Bishop Kenny
In their first game of the day, Chiles started off strong wining the first set against Bishop Kenny with a commanding score of 25-9. The second set was much closer with Chiles winning 25-21. To close out the match, Chiles won the third set with a score of 25-15 to advance to 11-0.
Notable performances from Chiles players included Lindsay Smith (Sr.) with 16 digs and 14 kills with one error, Eva Goodson (Sr.) with 10 kills with two errors, and Logan Abernathy with 7 kills with one error.
Ponte Vedra
Chiles carried their momentum into the second game of the day against Ponte Vedra starting off strong once again winning the first set 25-17. In similar fashion, the Timberwolves won the second and third set with set scores of 25-16 and 25-15 delivering their second straight set win of the day advancing to 12-0.
Notable performances from Chiles players included Natalie Gibson (Sr.) with 15 digs, Lindsay Smith with 14 kills and Sterling Carlisle (So.) with 8 kills.
