On October 8th, Leon hosted the Tallahassee City Golf Championship at Hilaman Golf Course with nine schools competing. Those schools included Chiles, Maclay, Florida High, Lincoln, Leon, St John Paull II (JPII), Rickards, Community Leadership Academy (CLA), Community Christian (CCS) and Godby. The Chiles golf team went back-to-back, winning the Tallahassee City Championship for the second straight year.

Hunter Glantz

Starting his round off with two straight pars, Florida High’s Hunter Glantz found his first obstacle as he bogeyed the 527 yard par five on hole three. Glantz immediately bounced back with two birdies on holes four and five. Four pars later, Glantz made the turn at -1 looking to capitalize on the back-9. He did just that birding the 12th hole to go -1 heading onto hole 17. Although he bogeyed 17, Glantz parred hole 18 to force a three person playoff including Chiles’ Rhys Chochran and Maclay’s Hayden Chaires. Glantz would emerge victorious winning the Tallahassee Championship individual Title.
