Leon County High School Basketball Rankings

The latest MaxPreps high school basketball rankings are out. The tables pictured below are the rankings for the boys and girls Leon County high school basketball teams based on current record, overall rating and strength of schedule as shown in MaxPreps. The stats used in this edition of high school basketball rankings were updated on MaxPreps through 12/14/2025.

Boys

Lincoln comes in at the top of the rankings as the only Leon County team to be undefeated with a record of 11-0. The Trojans just came off of a tight matchup in a home game against Crossroad Academy beating the Scorpions with a final score of 58-55. Lincoln’s Malakhi Lowe (Sr.) leads the team in points averaging 10.1 points per game and has 91 points so far this season. The Trojans’ next game is an away game against Mosley on Dec. 29th.

The second ranked team are the 7-2 Leon Lions. Leon has already played two overtime games this year with one leaning in their favor with a 66-63 win against Chiles, and the other giving the Lions one of their losses against Rickards with a score of 68-61. The leading scorer for Leon is senior Elijah Knight, who averages 16.9 points per game and has 135 so far this season. Leon’s next test is a non-district home game against Crestview on Dec. 19.

Coming in at the third spot are the Rickards Raiders. Although they are 3-5, Rickards has the highest strength of schedule out of any Leon County team eight games into the season. Rickards’ lead scorer is Senior Calvin Thomas who averages 18.3 points a game with 110 points on the season. The Raiders are coming off of a three game losing streak hoping to turn that around with a win against Treasure Coast on Dec. 19th.

Girls

The top ranked team on the girls side are the 4-4 Rickards Raiders, Although they do not have the best record in Leon County, the Raiders have the hardest strength of schedule among Leon County teams with a rating of 11.2. After losing back-to-back games to New Smyrna Beach and Tocoi Creek, Rickards will look to bounce back during the Battle of the Island Christmas Tournament starting on Dec. 18th

The Chiles girls basketball team is ranked second in the Leon County Rankings with a record of 7-2 with notable wins over NFC and Taylor County. Chiles leading scorer is junior Lainey Crisafulli who averages 11.9 points per game with 107 points on the season. Although the Timberwolves loss a close game to Godby, they have since won four games in a row and will try for a fifth against Cairo on Dec. 20th.

The third ranked team in our Leon County rankings are the 5-5 Florida High Seminoles. Florida High’s leading scorer is Callie James who averages 15.4 points a game and has 123 on the season. Although they are coming off a loss to Spruce Creek, the Seminoles have a chance to break .500 with a win against a really good Booker T. Washington team on Dec. 19th.
